Best of Skincare Review

Best of Skincare Review

I'm starting off with this Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy ($13.79) that has been saving my dry skin during the colder months. It takes about 4-5 mins for this to sink into the skin and the reason I'm grateful for it is that you apply it anywhere on the body and you'll start seeing improvement within the next two to three weeks.

Onto my next trio of skincare favorites are some of the most popular Tatcha skincare products such as the Essence, The Dewy Skin Cream, and the Water Cream.

The Essence ($20.00) is a skin plump softener which I've found is accurate since it makes my skin soft while also looking hydrated and doesn't leave any residue behind.

The Dewy Skin Cream can also be found in a larger size that retails for $68.00 while the smaller one goes for $20.00. Another favorite during the winter season is this cream which I love even more because it contains Japanese purple rice to replenish the skin which I find crucial in helping to soothe dry skin.

The Water Cream ($68.00) contains Japanese Wild Rose which visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture and also has Leopard Lily that helps control excess oil and clarify skin by encouraging natural skin turnover. I love how this is perfect for my combination and oily skin because, through its unique water burst cream, it glides on the skin smoothly and feels like a dream to have such soft skin afterward.

A last favorite of mine is this Biore Whipped Purifying Mask ($6.49) which's a quick 5 min mask that you apply onto your face and wash thoroughly to rid your skin of those impurities and pores. I found this to be a steal from Target and got to use a coupon that helped me save some $ on this product.

As described on Target's site, this cleanser is best suited for oily skin and purifies pores while deeply cleansing the skin. With natural charcoal, it's well known for its ability to draw out and trap impurities and skin purifying technology, this cleanser deep cleans 2 times better than a basic cleanser. The innovative black cleanser foams white and rinses clean, leaving skin refreshed and tingly smooth.

*I would caution that if you have sensitive skin and you're not used to having products tingle or burn on your face, then I would not recommend buying this product. Some products may work better for others and some may not, so it's okay if you skip out on this purchase.

This has been my wrap-up on the Best of Skincare and although there weren't any that I would say were the worst, I'll keep an eye out in the future for any that are. I hope that you've been enjoying this mini-series for Best of/Worst Of and hopefully, February has been treating you well.

Review: Makeup Revolution x Soph Extra Spice Eyeshadow Palette

Today, I'll be reviewing and talking about the pros and cons of this palette and why or why not you should skip or add this to your collection. As always, all opinions are my own.  One of the reasons why I like this palette is that it has a good mix of both matte and shimmers.  -You can go from daytime to nighttime with just two to three shades.  -It's also a good deal for $15, you can get 18 eyeshadows that go from neutral, berry, olive to a sunset eye look.  Here are the swatches from Top to Bottom for the first two rows:  Everyday  Running Late Infinity Cheesecake Cookie Dough Dreams Vitamin C  Sweet n Sour  Twenty One Romance Enchanted Lakes Here's the last row of swatches: Brownies Chocolate Orange Mulled Wine LA Sun Aurora Reputation Some cons are  -Can be a bit patchy and contain a lot of fall out when you apply eyeshadow  -With fallout, you can always tap off the excess and also use a Q-tip with lotion to remove where it's...
