My Makeup Favorites

                                     My Makeup Favorites

Hello everyone! Today, I'll be telling you about the makeup products I like to use on an everyday basis.

Step 1: Eyebrows, Eyes, and Mascara

For my eyebrows, I use the e.l.f Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5.00) in the shade Neutral Brown. It's very easy to use this pencil as it's precise to fill in the gaps and also to blend them using the spoolie at the end.

To set the brows, I use the e.l.f. Wow Brow Gel in Neutral Brown ($4.00) and use as a top coat for the brows. Sometimes if I don't want to use a brow pencil, I'll also use this alone by itself and start from the inner corner and following the arch in upward strokes.

For eyeshadow, I put on the Soph X Revolution Extra Spice Palette ($15.00) and use the shades: Cookie Dough as a crease shade and then blended Cheesecake as a transition shade, lastly used Chocolate Orange as well. The eyeshadow does have fallout so be sure to tap off the excess. I used the shade Dreams to put all over the lid and before putting it on, I used setting spray on my finger to get the shimmer shade to shine through as the focus of the look.

**I finished off the look by using Everyday as an inner corner highlight.

Swatches from (Top to Bottom): Cheesecake, Cookie Dough, Dreams,
Chocolate Orange, and Everyday

For mascara, I first prep my lashes with the Lancome Cils Booster XL Mascara Primer ($26.50) which helps give me thick lashes and let it dry for 5 minutes and then apply the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara ($27.50).  This duo gives me very dramatic and voluminous lashes which is what I would want from a mascara.

Step 2: Primer

I make sure to prime my face using the Maybelline Face Studio Master Prime Blur and Pore-Minimizer Primer ($7.99) to get that matte finish. I don't wear foundation on an everyday basis because I want my skin to look natural and not feel heavy throughout the day.

Step 3: Bronzer and Blush

I use the Eco Tools Precision Blush Brush ($7.99) to apply the Colourpop Pressed Powder Bronzer in CA Dreaming ($7.00) and the Super Shock Blush in Quarters ($8.00).

I received the brush as a Christmas gift a long time ago and it's perfect for applying blush and bronzer. I bought this bronzer because it was a recommendation from Kathleenlights, it blends into the skin very well and gives you the perfect light golden warmth even during the winter season. This blush is a mid-tone peachy coral that's a cream blush with a satin finish and gives a beautiful natural flush of color which is why this was a great buy along with the bronzer.

Step 4: Highlight

I use the Super Shock Highlighter in Flexitarian ($8.00) which's an intense white champagne shade with a pearlized finish. In the video, you can see the swatches of the Quarters Blush and the Flexitarian Highlight. This highlight is the best highlight I've ever bought because it's very buildable and gives you such a great glow that compliments both your skin and makeup.

Step 5: Lipstick + Trick to have long-lasting lipstick when wearing a mask

Swatch: Colourpop Lux Lipstick in LA Lady

This Colourpop Lux Lipstick in LA Lady ($8.00) has been one of my go to's because it's this pretty rosy terracotta shade that's your lips but better shade and it's great to wear in the office as well.

One trick that I've learned recently to make your lipstick matte is by getting a tissue and placing it over your mouth and put some setting powder where your lips are, take off the tissue and you'll see that your lipstick is now a stain that will last the entire day. Have you heard of this tip before?

Step 6: Setting Spray

There's a lot of setting sprays that people swear by. One of my favorites is this Maybelline Lasting Fix Makeup Spray ($9.99) that helps my makeup last up to 16 hrs and has a matte finish. Another one that I did not mention was the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray which is a fan favorite because it will last through rain or shine. This Maybelline spray lasted throughout a nap I took so that says a lot about their 16 hr wear time.

Thanks for reading about what I wear from my makeup bag. Have you heard of/used any of these products before? Let me know in the comments below if you have and if you've ever hit "pan" on a product you've enjoyed using.

Review: Makeup Revolution x Soph Extra Spice Eyeshadow Palette

Today, I'll be reviewing and talking about the pros and cons of this palette and why or why not you should skip or add this to your collection. As always, all opinions are my own.  One of the reasons why I like this palette is that it has a good mix of both matte and shimmers.  -You can go from daytime to nighttime with just two to three shades.  -It's also a good deal for $15, you can get 18 eyeshadows that go from neutral, berry, olive to a sunset eye look.  Here are the swatches from Top to Bottom for the first two rows:  Everyday  Running Late Infinity Cheesecake Cookie Dough Dreams Vitamin C  Sweet n Sour  Twenty One Romance Enchanted Lakes Here's the last row of swatches: Brownies Chocolate Orange Mulled Wine LA Sun Aurora Reputation Some cons are  -Can be a bit patchy and contain a lot of fall out when you apply eyeshadow  -With fallout, you can always tap off the excess and also use a Q-tip with lotion to remove where it's...
